6. Do I have to get a new child care voucher if I move from one shelter to another?

No. You do not have to get a new child care voucher just because you change shelters. The shelter staff should tell your Child Care Resource and Referral agency that you moved.

7. My family needs to leave shelter for a short time because of a medical problem. Will I lose my homeless child care voucher?

No. You can leave your shelter for up to 30 days if you have a medical problem. You can keep your homeless child care voucher.

8. Which Child Care Resource and Referral Center handles my child care?

DTA sends a child care referral to the local Child Care Resource and Referral agency in the area where your family lives. You can use your child care vouchers anywhere in Massachusetts.
