You are exempt from the time limit and the Work Program if you are age 60 or older. Appendix E (DTA Online Guide Links).

Advocacy Reminder

  • DTA regulations say you are exempt from the time limit and the Work Program based on age if you are age 66 or older, or you are age 60 or older, you are a child’s primary caregiver, and you retired before applying for benefits. Contact your local legal services program, Appendix D, if you are age 60 or older and DTA says you do not qualify for an exemption.
