Emergency Assistance Shelter

Emergency Assistance (EA) is a program that provides emergency shelter and rehousing services to homeless families with children.

The program is run by the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). It used to be run by the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), but it has been run by DHCD since July 1, 2009.
