The property owner will be held responsible (liable) for those damages even if she claims that she did not know that a child under 6 was living on her property or that she did not know that her property contained dangerous lead paint. See Bencosme v. Kokoras, 400 Mass. 40, 43 (1987); Bellemare v. Clermont, 69 Mass. App. Ct. 566, 568-569 (2007).
